What is the “Emoji Warrior Mad Dash”?

• An emoji-themed school-wide event in which all students, teachers and staff participate.

• Students collect donations for 3 weeks to fund the Mountain View PTA/Foundation.

• An obstacle course will be set up outside around the school track  including a large inflatable obstacle course. This will challenge students to use their strength and endurance while having lots of fun!

 

What are the Goals of the Emoji Warrior Mad Dash?

• To HAVE FUN!!!

• To make this the ONLY PTA/Foundation Fundraiser this year.

• To raise funds needed to maintain PTA/Foundation Programs: Pay our Science Lab and Computer Lab Teachers’ Salaries, meet teachers supply and equipment needs, plus obtain new technology and science equipment to enrich your students’ educational experience.

 

What do the Students do for the Emoji Warrior Mad Dash?

• Come to school ready for lots of FUN!

• Use their sample script and the Collection Envelope provided to collect money for our school.

• Wear their “Be Nice” class t-shirt the day of the event.

• Finish the Emoji Warrior Mad Dash Obstacle Course  on Friday, October 13th with everyone participating.

What will Students get for Participating?

• All students will receive a dollar sign emoji lanyard.

• Students receive emoji charms to clip on their lanyards when they turn in the following amounts: $25, $50, and $100.

  • At the $50 level, parents will receive a Local Business Value Card from Foundation (an $80+ value!).

• Each $100 donation earns a parachuting stuffed cow to be dropped from a helicopter (limit 3). The cow that lands closest to the target wins Chick-Fil-A for a year, additional prizes for the next closest!

• Students who raise $100, $200, and $300 or more will be invited to attend incentive parties.

• The top 2 fundraising students per grade level will be announced on the morning news!

• The top fundraising class school-wide will enjoy a Pancake Party and a special picture in the yearbook!

 

What are the different parties for each level?

• Turn in $100 by October 4th count day:  students will be invited to attend a Glow Dance Party on Oct 11th, 7:20-7:45am.

• Turn in $200 by October 11th count day: students will be invited to attend a Pajama & Cartoon Party on Oct 18th, 7:20-7:45 am

• Turn in $300 by October 18th count day: students will be invited to attend an off-site party the evening of Friday, Oct. 20th.

 

What are our School-Wide Incentives?

• Raise $15,000: Teachers play Guitar Hero - filmed to play on the morning news!

• Raise $30,000: Teachers sing karaoke - filmed to play on the morning news!

• Raise $50,000: Dr. Garriss and Dr. Spooner are scheming something fun for the Helicopter Cow Drop!

 

What Should You Do Now?

• Students should collect their donations now until Oct. 18th from family, friends and neighbors. They may use the provided script to help explain the purpose of the Mad Dash Fundraiser and what the money will be used for at our school.

• Make checks payable to Mountain View Foundation or go online to www.mtnviewfoundation.org/mad-dash/ to donate. Donations are tax deductible and eligible for Corporate Matching.

• Students will turn in their collection envelopes with donations weekly on Wednesdays: Oct. 4th, 11th and 18th.  Collection envelopes will be returned to your children that day so they are able to go out and collect additional donations.

• Be enthusiastic and excited...you are greatly helping support our students and the enrichment of their education!!!!

 

OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $50,000 FOR OUR SCHOOL...LET’S DO IT!
