Our 2023 MV Foundation Den Dash was a HUGE success! Not only did we beat our goal of $80,000 you all helped us CRUSH that goal, raising a WHOPPING $105,000 to give back to our school and students.  And the best part is that we are able to keep 100% of that money earned because we partnered with a wonderful non-profit company, Activate to help organize.  Local businesses helped with the up front sponsorship to get it going and from there - all money is kept 100%.   THANK YOU to all who supported our school and came out to cheer on our students in our first ever COLOR RUN!

To celebrate reaching all of our targets, kids were rewarded with pajama day, hat day, extra recess, dance party dismissals, popcorn parties for classes, class held outdoors, and pizza parties for the top 5 classes.  Additionally, the top classes were able to slime our very own Dr. Derman, APs Mrs. Green and Mr. Johnson.  Additionally the entire school earned a pretty epic glow party in January!

Over the last few years, money raised from the Den Dashes have gone to fund one of three areas: Capital Investment, Student Enrichment, and Teacher Continuing Education.

Capital investments made include the new signage inside and outside of the school, playground playshades, our outdoor classroom, new seating in the classrooms, sound system for our PE program to name a few.

Student enrichment investments include funding iXL, Robotics programming, Executive Functioning courses for 4th and 5th grade, Live School,  Write Score, Math Workbooks 5th grade, Type to Learn, ukuleles for music class AU class funding and other various teacher requests.

Teacher continuing education includes literary conferences and REAP (Reading is Essential) to ensure all of our teachers are certified.  A cost of $30,000 for the 2025 school year.

Such an exciting time at our school and we love watching these kids flourish.  Thank you for all of your support!

In the Classroom

1. What is the Den Dash?

The Den Dash kicks off in October and is Foundation's one fundraiser, taking place in November. Students will collect donations during this time. Funds raised from this event go toward supporting our STEM program and needed supplies at the school.

2. How can parents register their student(s)?

First, parents log in or sign up on https://gofundschools.com/dendash/  Then, parents can register their student as a participant on the website.

3. How can students get pledges?

Parents can help connect students to sponsors by sharing their pledge link on Facebook, through email, or even a text. Sponsors can enter and pay for those pledges online through your student’s pledge link or write checks payable to Mountain View Foundation!

4. What if families don’t have Internet?

If a student’s family does not have Internet access, parents and families can use the Pledge envelope to record all pledges and send in the payment with the envelope. If students turn their pledge and payment (cash or check)  into their teacher, please make sure student and teacher names are listed on the envelope and make checks payable to Mountain View Foundation.

5. Can I make a pledge if I don’t want to pay online?

YES! You can either turn in the payment for a pledge listed on the Pledge envelop.

6.  Don't forget - many of your employers will match your donation.  Reach out and inquire - these are tax deductible too.  Corporate matches count toward your child and child's class total.

7. Can I Write A Check? For pledges not made online, you can still turn in cash or check. Please make checks out to: Mountain View Foundation
